Penketh Group joins the North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium

We’re super proud and grateful to say that the past twelve months have been hugely successful for Penketh Group. The scale of our projects have expanded, we’ve built bigger partnerships, we were shortlisted Mixology Furniture Provider of the Year once again and recently became Constructionline Gold Certified.

This month, we are extremely pleased to announce that we have also been awarded a space on the North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium (NWUPC) Furniture Framework Agreement (FFE3103 NW).

The NWUPC is one of six regional higher education purchasing consortium in the UK and after a competitive tender process following contract renewal, we have been successful in joining the consortia to help support its collaborative procurement service.

The aim of the NWUPC is: “to provide a structure for higher education institutions mutually to secure value for money in matter relating to the procurement of furniture and goods”. It delivers value to its 24 members through responsible procurement and a strong dedication to forward-thinking.

Penketh Group Managing Director, Mark Penketh speaks for the company when he says:

“The furniture and design arm of Penketh Group has been going from strength to strength. We’ve been winning bigger projects with more prestigious organisations and showing no signs of slowing down.

“Being awarded a position on the North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium is another massive and incredible win for the company and we’re really looking forward to getting involved in many more education-based projects in the North West region as the relationship develops. We share many of the same values as NWUPC so it is a partnership that we are really pleased to be a part of.”

Collaboration, responsiveness, user-focus, agility, equality, innovation and adaptability are just some of the NWUPC values which identically match the Penketh Group ethos. We now look forward to fulfilling projects within the education sector through a multi-million-pound contract over a number of years.

We will be leading our input with Steelcase knowledge, product and research as we believe they are global experts in education space design. Steelcase invest more than $50 million annually into research and development and as a North West partner, we plan to use this to the advantage of NWUPC members.
