As a family-run business we love to get involved in local charity work, and each year we select a different charity to pledge our support. In 2016, we raised a massive £8,000 for The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, which will help fund eight state-of-the-art TVs for patients, providing a choice of games, movies and internet access, all for free.
Elspeth Wilson, Fundraising Manager at The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, said:
“We are so grateful to all the staff at Penketh Group for raising an incredible £8000 in 2016, which will fund eight interactive patient TVs in the new hospital in Liverpool. This is a state-of-the-art entertainment system for each inpatient bed and unlike many hospitals, all services will be delivered free of charge. These incredibly generous donations will help to transform cancer care for future generations”
In 2017, Penketh Group will sponsor four different charities with four separate charity events throughout the year. The first event, a sponsored walk up Snowdon, was held in April to raise money for the National Youth Advocacy Service (NYAS). We are proud to have raised £1,510.00 from our trek up Snowdon.
‘NYAS has helped thousands of deprived and abused children and young people in the UK. We help them to lead lives which are safe, happy and fulfilling. We do this by delivering support services including befriending, advocacy, advice and representation’.

It was hard to believe that the Wirral Coastal Walk had come back round again, but we had no fear, the Penketh Group team were ready and raring to go.
After months of training, Penketh Group’s Purchasing Manager Michelle Kilian took part in one of the UK’s largest established half marathons.
To kick start our support for our 2016 chosen charity, Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, our office took part in ‘Wear a Wig Day’ and the wigs were unbeweavble!
