Learning and Training Spaces

An effective learning or training environment encourages participation, which ultimately increases students or workers attention and understanding.  Active learning is essential for maintaining engagement and this can be facilitated by providing learning or training spaces that blend collaborative technology, learning tools and a flexible space that supports movement and participation.

Physical movement fuels the brain and keeps us active and alert; however static furniture within a learning environment limits movement and discourages collaboration.   To encourage active learning, students or workers should be able to adopt a variety of postures and different seating configurations to suit multimodal teaching and learning styles.
