Office design and furniture to boost staff retention for M247

M247 is a leading provider of connectivity and infrastructure across the UK and a company we have been working with for many years to provide business supplies and furniture to. So when M247 wanted to relocate some of their existing furniture and refresh their new workspace with a portfolio of updated products, we were more than happy to step in with our expertise.

During initial conversations, the client told us that they were looking to merge two existing sites into one and that their main objective for the project was to create a workspace that would help them attract and retain the best industry talent. We were presented with strict budget guidelines to adhere to, which needed to include the relocation of existing desking (which Penketh Group had supplied to M247 in previous years) from one site to another.

“Having already worked with Penketh Group for a number of years for our business supplies and previous furniture requirements, we knew we were in safe hands. The team were invaluable in helping relocate our existing furniture to the new office and worked closely with us to bring together furniture products that are already helping us work more collaboratively and efficiently. The new space has already had a really positive impact on employee engagement and retention.”

The client wanted to incorporate more breakout areas which we created with a diverse range of soft seating, high tables and collaborative areas throughout the full first-floor office.

The client also wanted to see an increase in small meeting facilities throughout the workspace which we fulfilled with a number of focus pods and meeting booths which complimented the colours included in M247’s strong branding.

The project also included the supply and fit of modern reception furniture to create the right first impression, as well as a dedicated games room and WorkCafe which can both also function as social spaces where staff can go to relax, rejuvenate or socialise during downtime.

As an existing furniture and stationary account, it was exciting be able to work more closely with M247 on the design and look of their workspace. Although the client had a good idea about the kinds of products they wanted to see in the space, we were able to put forward suggestions that would best address the workplace issues they had been facing.

In order to demonstrate the benefits of the products we were putting forward and the work settings we were proposing, we held multiple meetings at our Manchester WorkLife showroom where the client could be inspired by the latest product developments. Here, M247 sat with our interior designers and workspace strategists to draw up plans and really work collaboratively to create a space which is already proving to be effective.

We really look forward to our next project with M247!
