Commercial workspaces in the heart of the capital

Oval Real Estate is a UK-based property company with a portfolio across London, Birmingham and Manchester, from offices and studios to mixed-use developments. With a strong focus on sustainability and long-term value, they work closely with tenants and partners to shape distinctive, character-filled properties that reflect the way people live and work today.

Our work with Oval is ongoing, but in this case study, we shine the spotlight on three buildings we recently delivered furniture and AV specifications for: Tennyson House, Devon House and . All three commercial office buildings sit in close proximity to each other, near Mayfair, between Marylebone, Fitzrovia and Regent’s Park. Tenants of the buildings benefit from being  between Oxford Street and Marylebone Road, a short walk from Euston train station.

Our brief: Versatile plug-and-play solutions

Oval’s brief for each of the three buildings we equipped with furniture and workplace tech was designed to provide future tenants with turnkey, ready-made spaces, prepped for efficient plug-and-play occupancy. The benefit of this kind of fit-out is that teams can move in and get started right away with little to no downtime or setup hassle. These types of spaces also offer flexibility for growing businesses, short-term projects or companies looking to avoid long leases and fit-out costs.

With a focus on convenience and comfort, plug-and-play offices let teams focus on what they do best while enjoying a fully-equipped, professional environments that feels polished, functional, and ready from day one. With this in mind, the architects who designed the interior (5plus Architects) ensured that the design language of each space was neutral yet versatile, appealing to a wide range of businesses.

High-quality spec for high-calibre clientele

In terms of the furniture requirements for the buildings, the Penketh Interiors team were required to fulfill a spec that met the same standards of surrounding Central London workspaces. The portfolio included power-integrated desks, tech-enabled furniture, built-in video conferencing facilities, hybrid desks and a range of high and low seating to support different working styles.

We also provided furniture solutions for collaboration zones and breakout spaces, ensuring functionality matched the desired look and feel set out by the project architect. Oval emphasised the importance of sourcing from reputable manufacturers known for quality, reliability, and strong warranties, creating a refined, future-ready workspace built for long-term performance.
